- And many more!
Henkel invented the process of low pressure molding with hot melts in the 1970s, and Henkel continues to develop new TECHNOMELT materials to satisfy the protection requirements of the dynamic electronics market. Henkel has, by far, the most experience overmolding hot melts, and with R&D facilities around the world and direct representation in more than 80 countries, Henkel is uniquely positioned to support global operations at a local level.

We have been using Henkel TECHNOMELT materials at our Guadalajara, Mexico facility for several years. But, I wanted to see what advances have been made, learn about the LPMS equipment and new formulations in the TECHNOMELT portfolio. The new material colors and functionalities are great, as they can be adapted to many different products as an alternative encapsulation method to other expensive and time-consuming processes. Also, the machine tooling capabilities at the LPMS site are impressive. I’m looking forward to working with LPMS on future programs that require cost-competitiveness and flexibly.
We have been using LOCTITE products for potting and do quite a lot of silicone molding. This event presented an interesting extension and/or alternative to our existing processes. By combining Henkel and LPMS presentations into one event with an on-site demonstration, I was able to get a nice introduction to the TECHNOMELT process, and engage with the necessary contacts for launching a project.
Thank you, Henkel and LPMS-USA for facilitating this very informative event! The event gave us valuable insights on the various LPM materials, process, and applications to provide reliable PCBA protection. We will surely share this knowledge with our customers and within Flex. Hope to see more such event!
